S.o.L. - Vincenzo Latronico

Vincenzo Latronico, 'The Studio and The Attic'

Writer Vincenzo Latronico has joined us for an exploration of a most dearly road: that of the collaboration between writers and artists. Vincenzo Latronico has been researching these intrinsic correspondences in his writing as well as in his friendships.
According to him, a dispersion of languages and people was imposed through Modernity and its sense of omnipotence, secluding the writers in their attics and the artists in their studios.
While the classic example of the illustrated book has been surpassed by history, significant developments have taken place within the artist’s books, where writing has become a crucial but also controversial element. Can a sincere collaboration be possible?
Vincenzo is an italian writer and art critic. He has curated the literary section of the 2010 edition of the Artissima fair and an (almost) permanent seminar on autofiction, in Kaleidoscope's space. His writing has been published on Domus, Kaleidoscope, Flash Art and frieze. (http://www.vincenzolatronico.it/ )
